New edition of the EUDR supply chain infographics

In March 2026, the European Union published the third edition of the EUDR supply chain infographics, updating the previous version released in January 2025.

The document explains how obligations under the European Regulation on Deforestation-free Products (EUDR) apply across the supply chain, depending on three main factors: the role of the company, its size, and its position in the market.

More specifically, the infographics show how requirements vary according to whether a company is acting as an operator or a trader, whether it qualifies as an SME or non-SME, and whether it is placing products on the EU market for the first time or operating further downstream.

This revised edition also reflects the amendments to the EUDR adopted in December 2025. These changes help simplify and streamline obligations for different supply chain actors.

One of the main clarifications concerns the distinction between:

  • Upstream operators, who are responsible for carrying out due diligence before placing relevant products on the EU market for the first time or exporting them;
  • Downstream operators and traders, who are not required to carry out due diligence themselves.

The updated infographics provide a useful overview for companies and professionals working to understand their responsibilities under the EUDR and navigate the regulation more clearly.
