POSITIVE ACTION – EMPOWERING INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES TO CONSERVE RAINFORESTS IN SOURCING LANDSCAPES

“The speakers will share and discuss knowledge, experience, and learning related to rainforest conservation by IPLC and their critical role in supporting company sustainability commitments. There will also be time allocated for audience participation, questions, and audience sharing their experience and input.

We’ll link nature-based solutions and climate commitments to responsible sourcing of natural raw materials (e.g. palm oil, rubber, timber, pulp and paper products, coconut, cocoa, coffee, minerals, and aquaculture….) and sourcing landscape and forest-positive approaches.

Buying from suppliers not deforesting now needs to be complemented by actively protecting standing rainforests in sourcing landscapes.”
