Innovation alliance for training programmes

for deforestation-free supply chains in Europe

We know it’s been a while since you’ve heard from us, but over the past few months we’ve been working hard to wrap up the project. That's why this is our last newsletter!

EMMA4EU came to a close in July 2026 (and what a journey it has been!), after three years of connecting higher education institutions, businesses, public authorities and civil society around a shared goal: building deforestation-free supply chains (DFSC) and supporting EUDR implementation across Europe.

This final edition looks back at what the Alliance achieved together, and points you to where our results, training resources and knowledge base remain available going forward. The project may have ended, but its outputs stay open to everyone who wants to keep learning, connecting and acting on embedded deforestation. Let's start!

Three years of building knowledge, skills and partnerships for deforestation-free supply chains

By combining education, research, innovation, stakeholder engagement and international cooperation, EMMA4EU helped create lasting structural change in the way knowledge on deforestation-free supply chains is generated, shared and applied across the EU.

Thank you!

To everyone who joined a workshop, enrolled in a course, downloaded a report, followed us on LinkedIn or simply opened one of these newsletters over the past three years: thank you.
EMMA4EU was built as a collective effort, and its results belong to the whole community that came together around it, from the ten consortium partners to the hundreds of students, professionals and organisations across more than 50 countries who made the Alliance what it is.
The regulatory and practical work of building deforestation-free supply chains continues. We hope the resources, connections and knowledge this project leaves behind will keep supporting that work for years to come.

The materials produced during the project are still available on our website, and if you need any information, you can find all our contact details here.
